I prefer to think that the omission of the matching * was on purpose. 8)
I read about this, and it looks like it just becomes law if no action is taken by Hochul.
I have purchased several Sceptre displays over the years, and all of them are still running well. The common thread among them has been the outstanding display, and the lack of "smart" features. Using a set like this as a computer monitor or connected to some other streaming device it is very hard to beat. Honestly. I really think there could and SHOULD be more devices like this, but the existence of this one at least gives me hope. I think Ehud really made a salient point.
But let’s set our expectations any higher than reality dictates. But let’s NOT set our expectations any higher than reality dictates.
I skimmed over it but did not see "must accept all third party apps" or similar language. User initiated and approved each time side loading seems like the right approact honestly. Hard to see what the negative downstream effects would be at that point. Android has proven that it can work.
The only problem I have with this article is the idea that allowing users to choose where they install from, and who they pay is somehow worse. No one is FORCING users to use applications outside of the app stores walled garden. If the user wants to install an app that has been forced off the app store because Russia decided it was bad for instance, the user should have the choice of downloading it directly from the developer, and paying them directly as well.

Some might consider this a typo, but i prefer to think of it in a more literal sense. As in "uninhabited by sense"
But, the most bizarrely stupid version of this argument was published recently in the Hill, by columnist Armstrong Williams, in a piece entitled: Uninhibited Speech is the Ultimate Weapon in the Fight Against Misinformation. You might think from this title that he would support fact checking -- which is part of that "uninhabited speech." Instead, he seems to think it's an infringement on rights.
Am I the only one that finds it hard to listen to the frequent "and, um, uh" from Pamela?
I apologize if that sounds mean, I really don't mean it that way.
I just found it jarring in content that I was really interested in otherwise.
I literally laughed out loud several times reading this! Very well written and humorous! Nice job Tim!
[If all crimes were that easy to solve, the FBI would be asking for less data to sift through, not more.] Ahh, you must be new here, and have missed all the FBI stories.
Ron Whyden immediately jumps to mind.
Elizabeth Warren as well, but she still has some odd ideas about platform/publisher.
There are a few at least, but still WAY too few.
I really like the idea and potential for this!
Signed up with Coil, and found out there are a few other sites i frequent that use them too!
Yes, this is an important point that most news of this appears to be consistently missing. This is not an Open Access Network.
If all they do is write "he said this, and she said that" they are doing the job of a stenographer, not a reporter.
That sounds like a nice solution! I am not aware of one with those features. Would you please share some info on it?
I actually think the term "Retarded" is used properly if he means that his thought process has been "retarded" by lack of actual thought.
I think the headline might be incorrect
As I understand it, apple is not saying they will exit the UK market at all. Apple says it will remove services such as FaceTime and iMessage from the UK.
