This is good news. I think the officials who sponsored the biometric program in San Diego just don't know what it really is. They could read at least this article before making a decision. Sadly, but I think that sooner or later they will put this system into operation (despite the ban).
Security systems have changed dramatically over the past few decades. Recently I read this article about facial recognition systems and got the feeling of coming dystopia. I think that privacy should become one of the main themes of discussion in the mass media. And I know that surveillance could help to find criminals but there should be a balance between security and privacy.
This should be a pretty expensive surveillance camera. I think that recfaces biometric identification software could unleash the full potential of this system. On the other side, it sounds like another step into Orwellian dystopia.
Interesting that clothes could be a part of biometrical identification. I think that companies like Recfaces could use clothes for identification besides the face. Interesting, how long FBI use suspected person's clothing for investigation?
Never used this shit

Misinformation is a slogan of our times
Hmm...

I think they would spy anyway.

Sounds like a dark humor...
