Conservative cancel culture at it’s finest. For all the wailing about the left and society as a whole shunning conservatives who say and do crappy things, they sure do love trying to use the weight of government to inflict their will and crush anyone and anything that hurts their feelings. Maybe something could be done about the thinness of their skin if there was universal healthcare.

Over on the funny side, our second place winner is wshuff responding to the FBI’s horror at discovering that Ring doorbells can also be used against law enforcement:

For editor’s choice on the funny side, we start out with an anonymous comment responding to the French government’s move to criminalize the act of insulting mayors, with and old and very English joke:

It should be noted that the Olsen quote actually pertains to computers for house automation and it that context it made sense at the time, but for the last 30 years any commercial building that’s up to date probably have tens if not hundreds of computers sprinkled throughout the building controlling everything from doors to HVAC. Even ordinary homes these probably have a handful of computers doing house automation.
There’s no way that making spam legal on All websites and making it difficult to block spam by limiting section 230 protection against spam is even a slightly logical statement in any universe . Of course I’m sure when any republican party website and Conservative supporting website is engulfed in spam they will be delighted.

The attack on section 230 isn’t logical, it’s emotional and uninformed – not much logic in that.
Also, taking some very simple rules to carve out some very specific changes which has subjective and arbitrary scopes on how to apply them tend to create unintended results that doesn’t really lend themselves to logic.
