Apparently, Israel is not one of the countries that New Zealand has signed a reciprocal enforcement treaty with. And, even if they did get a judgement in Israel, there is a New Zealand legal process to go through.

For Flight Data Recorders and Cockpit Voice Recorders, aren't there rules around when the data can be used for prosecution? The primary purpose is for aviation safety, not criminal investigations.
If similar devices are mandated for vehicles, presumably it was for a similar purpose and similar legal protections should have been put in place.
Whenever I'm travelling internationally, I avoid transiting through the US, even if it makes my journey longer.
The number of horror stories I've read about, involving the US law enforcement (not only border control), make me think almost anything would be better than saying the wrong thing, or having the wrong itinerary, when I meet up with them.
So, even if every second, law abiding, citizen was carrying a gun, the offender wouldn't be "opposed" by gun carrying "good guys" on premises serving or selling alcohol. Aren't there always declarations that the mass shooting could have been prevented if there were "good guys" carrying guns around?
Sounds like a "loophole" for the "bad guys" and the "good guys" who say that the answer is more guns!
I'm just curious. I don't know about gun laws in different US States, but is there any information on how many people at this shooting location (or any other) were armed?
There is always a media storm about how if more people were armed, this wouldn't have happened, but there never seems to be any information about whether anyone at the location was armed.
I remember visting Brazil around 20 years ago. As you got to the front of the customs queue, you pressed a button and were presented with a green or red light.
Green light, you went straight out the door, red light you were searched on your way out.
Probably just as random as this app, but in addition, there may have been someone watching the queue and overriding any random light selection!

That is why I can require a home electronics vendor to "multizone" a DVD player before I leave the store.

Do you have to register your plates when you own property, or do they assume if the address for the vehicle is the same as a delinquent property, they're linked? If you're renting a property, could your vehicle be clamped or seized if your landlord owes property taxes?
If the FBI is so good at foiling these plots, why didn't the foil the "Joker" gunman and why didn't the CIA/FBI notice anything going on that caused the US Ambassador to be killed?
Seems like they're picking the low lying apples!
Of course, if the US stopped being hypocritical and brassing off half the world, it might help as well!
Back in the late 1980s, the French Government thought they could enter NZ, commit an act of terrorism (the Rainbow Warrior) and get out without the NZ police being able to do anything! The NZ police did solve the case, arrested two agents and issued international arrest warrents for the remainder!
Now the US government thinks they can run roughshod over NZ law, like they do to everyone else, in their "do as I say, not as I do" hypocritical attitude! This time, the NZ Judiciary is proving that they will stand up to the rule of law, unfortunately, the police have become enthralled by the stories from the US authorities!
Good to see the US being shown that their laws don't apply all over the world (how many US citizens think their constitution covers them outside the US anyway?)!

New Zealand copyright law already contains a clause that's says that breaking DRM that is in place for geoblocking, is NOT an offense.
