I think the music lobby is too powerful such that this will be thrown out on appeal. What judge is courageous enough to stand up to that much political pressure? Sorry, it ain't gonna happen. Nice story though.

    placebo

Regarding the guy who got better with the experimental drug for psoriasis: There's a 50% chance you were taking the placebo (and many many people who unknowingly take placebos ALSO swear that it works).

The people in a winning state use the internet more to read about winning. It's human nature. If the Giants are in a winning season, I want to read more about it. If they are losing I try to avoid it. Same with your candidate losing or winning.
And a large majority of people who use the internet look at porn. THEREFORE people in a winnign state are using the internet more AND they then look at porn so porn usage is up in winning states.
    Not rocket science.

    Re: Re: Flash support

Flash will never be supported because this allows the app to be ported to other (non-apple) devices. That is the simple reason why flash is not supported.

Well, if enough people pirate the signal, echostar will go out of business and then all you will have is one satellite company (direct TV). The reason direct tv and dish have been adding HD channels so aggressively is to compete with each other. This "HD-war" will no longer exist if one of the companies goes out of business. So I wouldn't put this on the same page as all the pro-file sharing anti-RIAA stories that we all love to talk about here...

"and you would think that the end result would be eBay users leaving for other online e-commerce options"

Uhh... there are no other options. That is why e-bay can raise rate and screw with feedback systems and not have any customer support and allow fraud....because they (and users) know that there is no where else to go if you want to your product to be seen by millions of people.

".they really don't have a clue do they? They might as well sue companies that make blank media for the same stupid logic eh?"

Actually, they DO have a clue, because most of the time these companies settle and the site goes poof. Even though this site is totally legal, it is not long for this world. Remember I said that.

"Pats were caught doing. It is just bad luck that they were caught red handed"

Keep telling your self that. You will feel much better than if you had thoughts like "if they didn't secretoly film the all the opposing teams' defense and study it, maybe they would be 9-7 for the season".

Now THAT'S a bad thought so I agree we should all keep thinking it's the first thought. Denial makes me feel better too. In fact, the surge is working and Hillary doesn't lie. See how easy that was?

Re: another industry I would like to welcome to 20

If your doctor is part of a major hospital, there more than likely IS a web site containing the information you outlined.

    No Subject Given

Most local papers are just a bunch of strung-together AP feeds. There are about 3 papers that have stories you can't get anywhere else (i.e. not online). One is wall street journal. Another is the New York Times (It takes me 3 hours or more to read the Sunday Times) and they are all written by Times reporters where the articles can only be found in the times.
AP articles are, by their very nature, superficial and lack any degree of depth. Your previous comments about charging online is true if applied to papers that take from the same sources as yahoo and MSN.com. Since the times offers unique content, they MAY get away with charging online, since we would all have to go out and buy the paper again (something I stopped doing years ago when the Times went online).
If the Ann Arbor news or Detroit News started charging on the other hand, I would jiust go to Yahoo.com to get the same news.
