Two issues. 1) How does one mandate "WORLD WIDE" encryption back doors? Answer, one doesn't! Won't happen! Someone will always have a real encryption algorithm up and working. It/they may not be available in the USA, but overseas, open market, open access! 2) When the encryption is broken, and one knows the hacker/cracker crews will put in many sleepless knights to break it, who pays for the thousands of users millions if not billions of dollars needed to be spent on some new "back door" encryption? I know it will NOT be the original programmer, NOR her company. The GOV. who mandated it now has to pay and big time for the new version and the dissemination of same.
If and when the government mandates that regular normal peaceful citizens must use a broken encryption system. Put some teeth in the repair and refurbishment of such a law. Because this mandate will require encryption software to be broken. When it's revealed that in fact it's broken in such and such a way that makes it available for ANYBODY to hack. The manufacturer will make any and all changes to said software and release it to all those who purchased it originally with the Gov. footing the remanufacture and distribution process entirely because the Gov. listened to politicians instead of security professionals who told them "Don't do it!" over and over and over and over.....
You know Microsoft, Apple and many other will insist that they have a (not necessarily) better bundle for all IOT developers to use and abuse, but ask PRIOR to downloading if there is any NSA, FBI, CIA or any other TLA code buried inside. Demand Warrant Canarys on all code!
When is someone going to take Donald Trump and Michael Cohen to task on these clearly ridiculous lies? If this man wants to be Pres. then he must be able to understand and abide by the LAW! Not some stupid trash that he and his mouth piece are trumpeting.

The Federal roadways are mandated to be the life line for military equipment including tanks, you know those HEAVY things. Run a tank or two over the hexagons and see what works or not. Now try three abreast and 10 in length, the roadbed would be rubbish.

Amnesty is a joke. The administration has so many different and separate ways to charge someone with a crime that Amnesty for any one would be a joke. No one could enumerate all the separate and individual gov. agencies that can bring charges, one would have to get total proof that NO Gov. or Fed. agency, no state agency, no municipal agency, no ancillary agency, no foreigh gov. agency would or could bring charges. And even then I would NOT believe them. Stay where you are and stay relatively free and safe, remember what happened to Bradley Manning!

I realize that many of them have a LOT of congressional backing, but if Clapper / Alexander lied to congress they should be brought to task. If you or I lied to congress the way both of these asses did we would be drawn, quartered, hung, ridden out of town on a rail and then eaten, and likely worse. NO one has immunity not the lease the men we had to trust to be telling the truth, which it has become VERY clear they did NOT!!!
