CBS will also get plenty of people like me who simply don't watch the new Star Trek series. I'm ready to admit I'm a fan of the franchise in general, but with it locked behind a paywall plus commercials, it's not for me. Plus all the people with capped/slow/non-existent broadband will not see it.
Back in the late '80s, we were warned not to take nice cars, cash, or travelers checks across the Texas border from El Paso to Juarez, as the policia could not be trusted to not confiscate them on trumped up charges. I thought it was a bit paranoid myself at the time, but still heeded the advice. I'm now giving the same advice now to my Canadian friends about America.
Apple just needs to apply FOIA costs math to the situation, and inform the FBI that they can start working on the code needed as soon as the FBI gives them estimated costs of $15,564,708,001.34 The code should be available to the FBI in approximately 3 years after receipt of the cash.
Then send a hard copy of the firmware on a4 paper from a dotmatrix printer with an old ribbon.
Bluray prices have gone up just due to no real specials since January. I'd been buying about 10 discs a month before, Feb-Apr I added a total of 9 discs to my collection. $29.99-$34.99 a movie just isn't worth it to me, even though I'm an early adopter of both formats.
I've gotten a pile of clearance HD-dvd discs in that time for ~$10 each.

Re: Cursed Asset
They said the deal came in at $5 Billion. Maybe that's what it will cost Verizon for someone to take AoL/Yahoo/Oath off their hands.
Re:
We know what would happen. They charge them with jaywalking for falling in the street, and charge them for the cost of the bullets used to shoot them.

It's pretty bad

Old School FBI
J Edgar Hoover would be proud of far the FBI hasn't come. Time for a new Church Report to be ignored/disdained by the FBI over the next few decades.
Taking direction on how a democracy should function from the USA at this point seems... Unwise.
Re:
To be fair, the USA looked like a total prat long before NuCoal came into the picture.
Just take a lesson from FOIA costs...

Keep it Simple
Just call him "Chief Corruption Officer"
Re: Pedantic Math error
It was founded in 1998, it's a simple typo. Which is much less fun than than idea of them losing almost a million dollars and 10 years.

The Sarchasm, you fell in it.
