"the role of the community in making that work a hit"
Preposterous: If someone is a content creator, the marketing costs in forcing the public to consume it are a creative expense of that creator or their distributor! These crowd-sourced marketers must have been well-compensated in order to perform their services, or they wouldn't have done it!
Or:
How could anything not be driven by money? Therefore, let money control everything.
Straight from the mouth itself.
"You might be wondering if we had to break some magician's code of secrecy to show you that hanky thing. Yeah, we did. And there are probably some magicians, some tuxedo-clad lowlifes, that actually put their cheesy little secrets above patriotism..."

On the other hand, I remember the flower-shadow trick as Teller's masterpiece.
I detect a hint of "Netflix is the new big thing! We have to send movies through the mail, too!" in this one. That puts them only 2 or 3 years out of date.

And Monty has a good answer to the post title:"Misinformation and superstition only serve charlatans".
Not feeling enough like a unique butterfly in a global information culture? There's a charlatan for that.

You've given up your right to air travel.
Re: Ya,, I carry a scarry bag.

Your desperation is palpable. It is delicious.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Isn't the MPAA dead yet?
Yeah, MPAA is so left wing that they discriminate against GLBT and femenist indie films. See "This Film Is Not Yet Rated".

The parent definitely overreacted, but I don't know why the school in question went along with it.
Re: Re: Re: Re: Double Standard
I think you can fire and replace bankers without destroying the bank.
Want me to buy your DVD or bluray? Bundle it with a free IMAX ticket.
Sound like an "entitled" perspective? From here, the idea that DVDs and blurays are valuable items to own is the delusion.
Re: another rhetorical question
Better clothes at Target anyway.
