    Re: Re:

...and some just want to make their cars faster on the strip.

Since I don't race anymore, now I am interested in MPG. I have a 2010 Ford Taurus and it gives me from 20-32 MPG depending on where I am driving. If I am on the highway, I can get 32 MPG with 91oct gas. I used to get 36 MPG but 93oct gas is not being produced for Puerto Rico anymore. On the other hand, now I am working 32 miles from my home driving through hills and curves, and my car guzzles gas like a Hummer. =/

Maybe it's time for me to get another compact car and a scan device to use less gas. My darn Civic used to give me like 38 MPG but with a turbo those numbers are gone...

    Re:

Oh please! Why even bother to even write that comment. If you live in this world, you know there is no way to be out of the grid. Except be LITERALLY out of the grid: live in a very far place, have no TV, no PC and no net, have a mechanical car (not computerized), plant your own crops... Get real coward!

    OBD1

In OBD1 is very easy. I used to do this with a palm pilot or a laptop with a serial cable to tune my 3000GT VR4 Twin Turbo and my Honda Civic Turbo. WiFi/Bluetooth should be EXCELLENT, even though the cable doesn't bother me.

The students pay for their greed... Always!

I went to the university from 1989 to 1994. I bet some of the books I bought can be used today, with some exceptions, like auditing or accounting because some acts or laws exist now, like SOX, or advanced biology or chemistry courses.

But take math/algebra, pre-calculus, calculus, history of PR/USA, classical music, maybe thermodynamics, and so many more, I bet they haven't changed a bit. X^2+2XY+Y^2 while X=3 and Y=2 or the time it takes certain metal component to heat is still the same...

A round of applause for Guyana!

That must have been fun! Imagine the craziness in Apple's offices.

    Re: THAT FEEL....

I agree so much with you. Who cares if those faces in old games looks blocky??? I do not need them to look like in real life but I want them to be FUN!

Re: Re: Two years? That's nothing.

I am a BIG FAN of the Thief series. I have all of them installed in Win7 and I play them when I feel like sneaking around in the shadows... hehehe.

Many many fan made levels, mods and a lot of additional fun.

    This is sooooo bad...

...and I am a fanboy of Ubisoft because most games they publish are excellent (Splinter Cell series, Prince of Persia series, Assassins Creed series).

Darn, I keep ALL of my games. I still have F22 lightning3 from 1996, F22 F16 MIG29 from 1997/98 and Thief Gold from 1998 in mint condition, among many others. So, if I buy this Anno 2070 and keep it like I do, when I upgrade next year my video card or CPU/MoBo, there goes another activation, then when I fresh install my OS mid year to keep it running smooth, there goes another one... That's stupid.

That means that I might buy all their games but install/play the pirated ones? Hmm! I don't know. I can keep clear of this game, like I did with BF3 and its Orion problems.

Still with all the negative talk about Steam, it is good for me. And since I never go to my friends houses to play because 95% of the PC's in Puerto Rico can't handle my games and there are almost no hardcore PC gamers, I guess I will have no problem with Steam banning my account. (seriously, Steam have noticed when I use a different browser to access my account and they send me emails to change my password just in case... great service uh?)

    Re: TG

    Well... not actually right.

Take income taxes for example: you pay for your income. If you sell cars, you have to file your return. If you make profits, you might have to pay taxes. Right? If you are an employee of XYZ-mart, you have to file a return. If you earn good money, you might have to pay taxes. Right?

If you sell drugs, that's illegal. Did you know that you have to file a return to report your income on any activity? Did you know that if you get profits you might have to pay taxes?

So, not necessarily paying taxes for something makes it legal.

Of course, you are not going to say: Uncle Sam, hey my occupation is "drug dealer" and I made excellent profits this year, so I am paying the taxes I owe you.

"You pay for your income, just lie to me on where did you get it. Just pay and STFU."

Maybe is a terrible example, but they teach you that in Tax course at the University.

    Dumb

This is so dumb I had to take the time to post this comment.

Just remember: never move to Morocco. Maybe they'll CUT your jellybeans if your piss splashes from the water to the toilet bowl.

That for sure got to be bad... really bad.

    Need sleep mode

I am an Auditor and Fraud Investigator. The Agency I work for gives me a laptop to do my work. Last year there was something wrong with it and the boot process use to be like 25 minutes one day and 1 minute the next. That happened everyday. I got used to leaving that laptop on sleep mode because when I needed it to boot fast to take a sworn statement or something important it was really frustrating to wait for it to boot up. All the work I do is confidential so we use encryption. This is going to change my preferences... just in case.

    Sleep mode:
When referring to speed up the booting process of a PC I have always read everywhere on the net that hibernate is slower comparing it to the boot or sleep process. Hibernate just saves everything to hard drive so you can access it exactly as you had it when leaving the PC. In my PC the booting process is faster than waking it from hibernating, which sometimes hangs. Maybe something is wrong with my PC. I don't know...

    Uhmm...

Well... I think there is nothing wrong with me...

  • Feb 20, 2008 @ 04:40pm

    Celes...

I am with you. I used to play Barbie Super Model for Super NES with my oldest daughter was a little girl. I know that game was really bad I used to play it. I only enjoyed the time with my kids and not actually the game. If you find a nice girl game I will try it too.

I am more into COD4, Crysis, Splinter Cell, Oblivion and that kind of "violent" games and I am a responsible father, husband and fraud investigator. I have played with violent games since Combat from Atari 2600 and there is nothing wrong with me.

    Give it some time...

...and you'll see how someone is going to get in and out without nobody noticing. That someone is going to post it online. No harm done, just in and out. When that happens, Boeing will take immediate action.

That's like new intersections on roads: DOT (or whatever agency it is) doesn't install traffic lights until there have been some FATAL accidents.

Maybe Boeing should play a little game called "Try to hack me if you can" with a 787 that's on the ground. That should be safe enough... Uhum! Then they can change their name to Boing!

    Gattaca anyone?

This remember me the movie Gattaca. Everything was monitored and scanned. At the end, the principal character got what he wanted, with some work and a little help from friends.

Like we say in spanish: "El que hizo la ley, hizo la trampa y le dirá a sus amigos como hacerlo" (The people that makes laws knows how to circumvent them and will show their friends how to do it).

    Experts are...

Many times "EXPERTS" are the "stupidessssssst" (superlative of the superlatives) people involved in a project. For Mr. Enderle everything is a "game changer". It doesn't matter if it is right or wrong, good or bad, it is a game changer. Maybe he is like weathermen. They are always right, but he doesn't use percentages or probabilities.

I did a Google search on "game changer" +Enderle and it gave me a lot of results, and if you read, you can have a laugh, if you are bored and got nothing else to do.

I did it because I am doing the laundry and I am between loads, reading Techdirt, flaming this moron, the latter been the greatest reason.

Getting back to the topic, beside the "expert", I have a generic iPod, a Zune and a Zen V Plus. Maybe I was going to be able to see their videos in the Zen's 1.5" OLED Display, which is great for the home made racing videos of my 3000GT VR4 and music, but not so great for movies.
